The Market Today
Barely a news bulletin passes these days without a reference to utility problems be they
service or pricing related. Our increasing dependency on imported fuels to meet the growing
shortfall in UK supplies and inadequate storage infrastructures leave businesses at the
mercy of volatile world energy markets.
In addition to the well documented rise in pricing, customer service has been compromised by
the call centres favoured by the large multi-nationals who have grown their
businesses largely by acquisition. Terms and conditions vary from supplier to supplier
and are strictly imposed rarely to the benefit of the customer.
Supplier billing contains more estimated meter readings which if left uncontrolled can result in poor cash flow.
Against this background it is not surprising that customers might feel confused and
frustrated.
ESS share common cause with our clients to reduce and control costs since our fees are solely
performance based.
We aim to complement existing activity standing alongside our clients in partnership for
the long term.
